"A Story Unfolds" delves into the realm of variation.
Within the piece, we are introduced to three primary elements - two rhythmic motives and one central melody. These components manifest in various forms and dimensions over the course of the composition, shifting in harmonic context and conveying diverse musical messages.
Rather than adhering to a predetermined structure, I allow the music itself to guide me in shaping the progression of the piece. While this approach may require additional time, in the case of this composition, the process unfolded surprisingly organically, bringing me great joy as I witnessed its development.
